Timothy Ström

Timothy Erik Ström grew up in regional Australia and has an academic background in cultural studies and critical political-economy. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Institute for Culture and Society, Western Sydney University, and an associate of RMIT’s Centre for Global Research. His thesis is called Mapping Google Maps: Critiquing an Ideological Vision of the World. Timothy has worked on research projects concerned with questions of globalization, multidimensional sustainability and the history of climate struggles. His research interests include critical technology studies, cultural geography, environmental philosophy, and social justice.
