Bruce McCormack
Bruce is a qualified town and regional planner who has worked in the public and private sectors in both South Africa and Ireland. He is currently based in Ireland. Whilst in Ireland he has been directly involved in spatial data matters. For two years he was a Senior Advisor: Spatial Data Infrastructures to the World Bank. For the four year period until May 2015 Bruce was the President of EUROGI, the European Umbrella Organisation for Geographic Information. As a consultant Bruce is currently the Moderator for the Africa Community of Practice which is part of the UN Environment Programme initiative to produce an Africa environmental assessment for inclusion into the UN’s GEO-6 Global Environment Outlook.
