Meritxell Martell

Meritxell Martell is the owner and founder of Merience, a consultancy based in Barcelona, specialised in undertaking research and advice on communication and stakeholder engagement in complex environmental decision-making processes, in areas such as energy, nuclear energy, radioactive waste, carbon capture and storage and environmental remediation. She undertook her PhD in Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom) in the field of public participation and sustainability. She has participated in several European funded projects on governance and energy and has been expert consultant for Barcelona Metropolitan Area, different committees of the OECD/Nuclear Energy Agency, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Group of European Municipalities with Nuclear Facilities, among others.
